The number of elderly people in the country has been steadily rising and this is predicted to continue for the foreseeable future. As a result, it is anticipated that there will be a requirement for increased nursing/care homes and assisted living provision.

The proposed assisted living scheme is intended to provide accommodation for elderly people. This will encourage independent living whilst having a support network in place. In addition, communal facilities will be provided including a restaurant, lounge/sitting rooms, a library and hair dressing facilities.

The building extends to approximately 3,500 sq m.
