Individual areas of open space are also proposed within each element of the scheme. This includes a central courtyard area in both the children’s day nursery and the assisted living scheme. An area of open space is also included in the Bupa Care Home scheme.

A management scheme to ensure this has been agreed with Hart District Council and Natural England. Where suitable, the trees currently growing along the boundary have been
retained. Together with new native trees
and shrubs, they ensure that the
development is set within an attractive
landscape framework, especially along the
eastern boundary of the site which adjoins
the open countryside.
